Family
Last Sunday we took a trip out to Cincinnati for the day. My friend Andrea just had her second baby boy, Tyler. We got to visit with her and her family. Andrew always has fun playing with Dylan. Unfortunately, I left my camera in the car so I didn't get any pictures of Tyler. He is so adorable!!
We were also able to go to church with my mom. This is the church I grew up going to and where we got married. It was so good seeing everyone! Everyone makes you feel right back at home. After church we met up with my sister and Justin for lunch. It was nice to have everyone together. Here are a few pictures after lunch.

Although it was a short visit, it really made me miss home. I miss being close to family and miss being close to my best friends!! At least they are only two hours away. Now I just need to get Jessie to move a little closer ;)

Hot Days of Summer
The hot days of summer are almost over. We went on a pretty long stretch of HOT weather and now the weather is beautiful. I know it is a little early, but I love the transition into fall!! Actually I love fall. The past few days have been so nice or maybe they just seem so nice because it is not 100.
Andrew and I went to the zoo twice last week and we also went to our new neighborhood pool for the first time. Andrew loved the baby pool. It was perfect for him. I will have to take some pictures the next time we go. We will be using that as much as possible while the weather is still warm.
Here a couple fun summer pictures.

Daddy's Boy
As some of you may know, Andrew is a Daddy's boy. At first I didn't know how to take this, but then I figured it out. I have found that Daddy is preferred in certain situations and Mommy in others. It is so cute to see the excitement on Andrew's face when he hears the garage door open. Andrew just loves to tag along with Daddy everywhere he goes.
Mark has been taking classes for a while now to finish his master's degree. It seems like most of his free time is spent working on homework and studying. I cannot wait until it is over!! He should be done in May 2012. The other day Andrew and I were in the office and he decided to look into what Daddy has been learning about.

I think we may have a little engineer in training. His book of choice seems to be Aircraft Design: A Conceptual Approach. A close second is Aerodynamics of Supersonic Flight. They both sound very interesting. (insert sarcasm) This stuff is a little over my head. Who knows what this little boy will be capable of...

Mark's Birthday Weekend
Mark's 30th birthday was on the 21st and I definitely wanted to make a big deal out of it. I wanted to have a surprise party for him, but he warned me that he did not want a surprise party. He seemed pretty serious about it so I decided not to. I did ask his parents to come out and surprise him over the weekend. Last weekend they were in town and it was a great surprise for Mark. I was going to get him 30 presents for his 30th birthday. I made a list and went for it. Too bad I picked the hottest week of the summer to shop for these presents. Andrew didn't make the shopping any easier in the heat. I got to about 15 gifts and decided to get him a blue ray DVD player. I think it worked out because he got the DVD player with a bunch of random small gifts. Overall, I think he really enjoyed the whole weekend!
On Saturday we decided to go to the Indianapolis Museum of Art. It was something nice to do that was inside. One thing I don't understand about this museum is why it is so quite. I felt like I was in a library. Andrew did pretty good, but he stayed in the stroller for most of it.

We took a couple pictures outside. They have some many cool things outside too.

I love this picture!!!

After the museum we had dinner at PF Changs and then went to the Indians game. It was Andrew's first baseball game. He did pretty good. It was so hot, but we still had lots of fun. I bought him a baseball and that made him happy.

I love doing new things as a family. We had such a great weekend. Happy Birthday Mark!!

Good Times, Great Friends
Andrea, Seth, and Dylan came to visit a couple weekends ago. Andrea is one of my best friends and it is always a good time hanging out with them. Wish they could have stayed longer or better yet lived in the same city. We had a blast with them. The guys did a little golfing and we spent time relaxing with the kids. We were able to take the kids out for dinner and they were so good.
The boys had a great time playing together. I had to share all of these pictures because they are so cute.

Dylan: Why did Andrew get a truck? Where is mine?
Andrew: Don't even think about it.
Andrew: Don't even think about it.
Dylan: Mommy I am going to get that truck.
Dylan: Give me that truck.
Andrew: Stop...I am trying to smile for the picture.

Dylan: Ha Ha!
Andrew: Hey...

Catching Up
Andrew is at such a fun age right now. He is at the point where he understands most of what I say and seems to be learning new words everyday. This summer has been so fun because Andrew loves to play outside and play with his friends. It feels like every week flies by because we are always doing something. I feel like I have been neglecting my blog a little bit so here are a bunch of random pictures.
I had to post this picture of Andrew right after he woke up from his nap. He is so sweet right when he wakes up.

Of course Grace had to come share in the fun!
Andrew has to walk down the stairs we when come down. He gets mad if I try to carry him.
We went swimming over the July 4th weekend with some friends from our neighborhood. Andrew did not like the cold water at first, but he got used to it and had fun.

On Sunday night there were fireworks at one of the parks nearby. The fireworks were at 9:55, which is way past Andrew's bed time. We put him to bed at 8:00pm and then got him up at 9:30 to watch the fireworks. He was so cuddly when I got him up, but after a few minutes he was ready to play. I knew he would do well with this because we have had to get him up numerous times for all of the tornado warnings in the spring.
We drove to a place in our neighborhood to see the fireworks. We just sat in the car with the windows down. Andrew was pretty interested in them for the first ten minutes. Then he thought it was pretty fun to sit up front in the drivers seat with Mommy for the rest of the fireworks. When we got home we let Andrew play for a few minutes and then put him back to bed.
We also have a new friend hanging out with us a couple days a week. Her name is Abigail and she is almost three months old. Andrew is doing really well with her. He loves to watch her and show her his cars. I am sure you will see more Andrew and Abigail pictures.
