Zoo Boo, England Style

Last Friday we decided to go to Zoo Boo with Amber, Adam, and Abigail. Let's just say the weather gave us a flashback of being in England. It was rainy and cold. According to the radar the rain should have ended by the time we got there, but in true English style, the weather was wrong. At least we got to break out our old rain jackets. The rain stopped after about 30 minutes. The up side was that the zoo was not very busy and we still had fun!!

Andrew's first time in a bounce house. I am glad it was a success!

Fire Station

We recently took a trip to the fire station with our play group. I have been wanting to plan something like this for a while now. I knew Andrew would love it because he is so into fire trucks and ambulances. The kids did such a great job on the tour. The tour was probably geared more towards older kids. The kids loved seeing the fire truck and all of the equipment. After seeing the fire truck the kids got to sit in the back of the ambulance. I hope that was the last time we are in the back of an ambulance!! The fire station got a call while we were all sitting on the ambulance, so we had to get the kids off quickly so they could go. Andrew loved watching the fire truck and ambulance leave with their lights on. Andrew was so excited that day because so many of his friends were there and he has not stopped talking about being in an ambulance.

Babies, Babies

A couple weeks ago we took a trip to Cincinnati again!! This time we got to meet two more new babies, Connor and Charlotte. Connor is Tanya's second and Charlotte is Julie's first baby. It was so great seeing everyone again. We definitely missed the few that we not there. We are all getting together in November and I am so excited because everyone will be there. I think there will be just as many girls as babies. Crazy!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Baby Jam!!

As most of you know, Baby Jam was the title given to our play group when it first started back in January 2010. We were all a bunch of first time moms with newborn babies. After almost three years we all still get together almost every Wednesday to let our kids play together. Last week we had our Baby Jam birthday celebration. The kids birthdays range from September to December so we just do one big party for all of them. This year it was at Chuck E Cheese.

Oh Chuck E Cheese...

It actually ended up being pretty fun for the kids. The kids had pizza, cupcakes, played games, got to see Chuck E, and were able to get some great (cheap) prizes at the end. We also did a small gift exchange so each kid opened one gift. Andrew had a blast!! He loved his gift!! He loved playing games and especially loved the plastic frogs and rocket launcher thing he picked out with his tickets. However, we have already lost one frog and two pieces already broke off the rocket!

Andrew is so lucky to have his friends!! They all get along so well and it really helps that I like spending time with their mommies! I was actually thinking the other day that the kids are growing up so fast and that means they are going to have to go to school eventually. Then what I am going to do on Wednesdays!? I guess all of the moms will have to get a job together :)
Game time!

This picture cracks me up because it looks like that women is about to spank Andrew.

"Mommy, pumpkins grow on the ground..."

"...and apples grow on the trees!" I heard that a good 15 times last week. Andrew learned that when we went to Beasley's Orchard last week. We went with our playgroup on hayride through the orchard and out to their pumpkin patch. The kids were able to pick out a pumpkin to take home with them. The weather wasn't the greatest, but it didn't stop us from having fun. If I learned anything from our trip to England, it is not to let a cold rainy day get in the way of anything.

After the hayride the kids had cider and a cookie. They also got to see a big tractor. After that we went into the little store and kids were able to sample the apples too. Andrew could not stop talking about the pumpkin patch and he loves to open the front door to peak out to see his pumpkin sitting out there.

She's Back!!

Grace finally came home last weekend!  Mark went to a wedding in Missouri last weekend, so he was able to meet up with his mom to get Grace.  Andrew was so excited to get her back home and he has not left her alone since Sunday!  The first full day she was back he had to know where she was at all times.  She adjusted back to our house and routine really fast.  We are glad to have her back!  She is such a good dog!!  (Except when she sees new people...she still gets crazy!)

They watched movies together

There were lots of hugs!!

Andrew brought Grace all of the blankets and stuffed animals from his bed

More hugs
