Easter!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!! Here are a few pictures from our Easter festivities.

We decorated eggs the day before Easter! I had the great idea to buy these craft eggs I saw because we always end up throwing most of the eggs away because they get cracked or broken.  Thought the craft eggs were brilliant until I realized they float in the dye.  Fail!  Not as fun dying eggs when you have to hold them down in the dye.  Good news is the kids still had fun and no eggs were broken!

The kids were super excited to see their basket of goodies on Easter morning.  Not sure if Andrew totally believes in the Easter bunny.  He asked a few questions about the Easter bunny and I said I wasn't sure because I have never met him.  Hahaha!! Not sure how far we want to go with the whole Easter bunny idea.  I don't want to spoil the fun but I want to try to stay focused on what Easter is truly about.

After church we had a little Easter egg hunt with our neighbors, The Bullermans.  We did the same last year and the boys had a blast!! Melissa (the Easter bunny) does a great job hiding them for the boys.  She does so good that we found a moldy one from last year.  So gross!!! So glad we caught that before the boys!!

We had a fun dinner with them that night!  We are so thankful for them!!  Happy Easter!

Brothers

I wanted to post a few pictures of the boys from the last few weeks. Their relationship is something so special and I love watching them.  Recently Lucas seems to be getting more attached to Andrew.  He has been saying, "Andrew is my brother and I love him."  He doesn't like it when he leaves for school and is always so excited when Andrew gets home.  Andrew is always looking out for Lucas and Eli. He is a very protective and helpful big brother.  Andrew does such a great job being the biggest brother.  It makes my heart so happy that they get along so well and are the best of friends!  I love these boys so much!

Andrew Lost His 1st Tooth!

Andrew has been so excited to lose his first tooth!  A few of his friends had lost a tooth and he was more than ready for his turn.  Finally, he had a loose tooth!! It was one of his top middle teeth.  I really didn't know what to expect with how long it would be loose before he lost it.  It was actually over Christmas break when it started getting wiggly.  He could not stop wiggling it.  One night at dinner he asked me if I could try to pull it out.  I tried but it just wouldn't come out.  The next day he went back to school after break.  When Andrew got off the bus I asked him how his day was.  He was acting kind of quiet, so I was worried maybe he didn't have a good day.  We got back in the house and he turned to look at me with a huge smile.  There it was, that adorable smile with a hole where his tooth was!! He had lost the tooth at school.   I was kind of bummed that I wasn't there for it but the nurse gave him a tooth necklace to keep his tooth in so it made it home safe!  I thought it was so funny that he waited until we got home to surprise me.  He told me that he just pulled it out at school.

He was obviously so excited about the tooth fairy coming!!  I knew I needed to get cash because all I had was $1.  We were going to do a little more for the first tooth and then $1 after that.  That night after dinner Eli spiked a fever of 105.2 and I had to take him to the ER.  To make a long story short I was unable to stop and get cash.  So $1 it was from the tooth fairy.  It was kind of a crazy night but Andrew was super excited the next morning when he saw the $1 that the tooth fairy left.  I am so glad it all worked out and he was excited.  Now the tooth next to it is starting to get loose.  Love watching Andrew hit these milestones but hate that he is growing up so fast!!

Eli is 1

Happy 1st Birthday to our sweet Eli James!!! How is it that it has been one year since we saw your sweet face for the first time?  Time definitely seems to go by faster with each baby.  Eli, our family wouldn’t be complete without you.  You are such a sweet and feisty baby!  You have such a sweet smile and are starting to get such a sense of humor.  I love watching your personality start to come out.  You still adore your brothers and they love you just the same!  I love it when you wake up and give the biggest smile as soon as you see Lucas.  You have the same reaction as soon as Andrew gets home from school.  It is the cutest thing!! You are able to keep up with your brothers pretty well around the house and in the playroom.  You love books, balls, nerf guns, tv remotes, and cell phones.  If your brothers do something you don’t like you are very quick to let out a very loud scream.

Your one year appointment went well.  You are 20lbs 4oz (32nd percentile) and 30.5in long (75th percentile).  You are still my little guy!  You are wearing 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.  You are not walking yet but the doctor isn’t concerned and neither am I.  You can stand on your own and walk around holding on but just haven’t let go yet. You have surprised me and climbed up the entire flight of stairs on your own, so I guess you know how to climb stairs too.  Your appetite is seriously crazy right now.  You can put away the food!!  There really isn't much you don't like.  You must be going through a major growth spurt.  Good news is we made it to one year breastfeeding!!  You have no interest in regular milk. I have tried a few things with no luck and you don’t even like breastmilk from a cup.  You are very picky with your beverages!  You do love your water so I guess that is good.  You were sick a few weeks in December and January and got to take your first trip to the ER with a fever of 105.2.  It was so scary but thankfully everything ended up ok.  Hope our sickness streak is over for a long time.

You love music and love to dance!!  I am still holding out hope that you or one of your brothers will have some musical talent.  The crazy thing is that you can actually kind of hum Twinkle, Twinkle.  I thought I heard you do it one day, but I thought it was random and then I heard it again!  You love to clap, play the piano, and the toy drums.  You wave hi and bye all the time and give the best open mouth kisses ever.  You still have 8 teeth, 4 on top and 4 on bottom.  Not much going on the talking department.  You can say Mama, Dada, Hi, and Bye when you are in the mood.  We also taught you "more" in sign language.  You are still a great night sleeper.  You sleep from 8:00 to 7:30 and I think you would sleep in more if your brothers were quiet.  Your naps aren't very long but I can't really complain because you do a great job at night.  Sometimes you do 2 naps a day.  The problem is that your naps are short, maybe an hour or so.  I think I have adjusted to it.  If I am going to try and get anything done I just have to do it when Daddy is home.

Hanging out with the big kids at Story Time

You are my first kid that has major separation issues with Mommy and Daddy.  We discovered that a few months ago when you refused to go to child care at church.  You truly have a hard time.  You usually get brought back to me after 10 minutes.  Recently we made a few steps in the right direction and have been able to stay a little longer a few times.  Nothing is consistent when it comes to that.  You are even picky about who can hold you.  I know you will come around eventually.  I just want you to see that it could be fun to stay and play for a bit so Mommy and Daddy can go to church together.  The good thing is that you don't have a hard time staying with a babysitter at our house so we do still get a rare night out every now and then.

Your birthday party was so much fun!!  It was so great celebrating you with our closest friends and family!  We did an airplane theme.  We are so thankful for all of the friends that came out to celebrate!! We had CFA because you love the nuggets!!  I mean who doesn't love some CFA!!  We quickly found out that Eli loves cake.  You had no problem digging in and didn't want to stop.

Eli, I hate that your first year has come and gone so fast!  I love you so much sweet boy!!

Happy New Year 2016!!!

It is so hard to believe that last New Year’s Eve we had a quiet night with Andrew and Lucas hoping baby #3 would hurry up and get here.  What an amazing year it has been.  We are so blessed with our 3 boys!!  This year to celebrate the New Year we were invited over to The Gibbs house with a few other families.  We were unsure how long the boys would last but thought we just see how the night went.  In my mind I was thinking they would be more than ready to go by 10:00 at the latest but they proved me wrong.  They had so much fun playing with their buddies!! They honestly did great for how late they were up.  Andrew and Lucas actually made it to midnight!!  Eli ended up staying up pretty late himself.  He did fall asleep before midnight which I was totally fine with.  He loves sleeping in his own bed and he resisted sleep as hard as he could that night.  The worst part of staying up late is that they never sleep in!!  The boys were tired on New Years Day but quickly got back to their normal schedule the next night.  We had so much fun ringing in the New Year with some close friends!! We are so excited to see what is in store for the Creason family in 2016.  Hope everyone is having a great 2016 so far!!
