Andrew is 7!!

So when I went to update my blog about Ava I found this unfinished post so I thought I would go ahead and post it. :) 

Our sweet Andrew turned seven!! How has it been 7 years since I became a Mom?!  I feel like it was just yesterday that we were reading books and going to child birth classes.  Now I have a first grader that is pretty independent.  I had to ask him the annual questions because they are so fun to look back on.  Even he likes to read the old ones.

At Andrew's well check he was 46lbs (23rd%) and 47in (30th%).  He is a pretty healthy kid, but has kind of slowed down on the growing for now.  He loves to watch football with Daddy and talk all things sports.  He also loves playing with his legos and watching movies!  He is such an awesome big brother and is very protective!  He seems to be doing very well in school but also loves to talk.  I think that gets him in trouble sometimes.  He loves to be the funny guy and loves to be with his friends.

This year he wanted a birthday party at Skyzone again.  I was totally fine with that because they do all of the work!!  That always works great for me and especially this year with being pregnant!  He had a blast with his friends!! Here are a few pictures from the party!

His actual birthday was on a Sunday.  We celebrated with gifts and going out to dinner with friends.  Andrew picked Olive Garden for his birthday dinner,  He loves Olive Garden because they give you Andes Mints!! One special thing about having your birthday close to Christmas is that Buddy the elf gives you a special gift too.  Andrew always looks forward to that!

Love him so much!  It was so fun celebrating him!  He is so special to us and brings our family so much joy!!

Kindergarten has come and gone!

I can't believe I have an almost first grader!!  I say almost because he hasn't started yet.  I wanted to cry when Andrew's Kindergarten teacher sent an email the last week of school saying, you have a first grader!  I was like, wait, what?!  He hasn't even finished his last day of Kindergarten.  I am not a fan of rushing the whole growing up thing.  Either way the last day has come and gone.  I wanted to post a few fun pictures from Kindergarten.

It's official!!

Andrew did such a great job in Kindergarten!! He learned so much this year!  He is growing up way too fast!!!  Love him so much!

Andrew Lost His 1st Tooth!

Andrew has been so excited to lose his first tooth!  A few of his friends had lost a tooth and he was more than ready for his turn.  Finally, he had a loose tooth!! It was one of his top middle teeth.  I really didn't know what to expect with how long it would be loose before he lost it.  It was actually over Christmas break when it started getting wiggly.  He could not stop wiggling it.  One night at dinner he asked me if I could try to pull it out.  I tried but it just wouldn't come out.  The next day he went back to school after break.  When Andrew got off the bus I asked him how his day was.  He was acting kind of quiet, so I was worried maybe he didn't have a good day.  We got back in the house and he turned to look at me with a huge smile.  There it was, that adorable smile with a hole where his tooth was!! He had lost the tooth at school.   I was kind of bummed that I wasn't there for it but the nurse gave him a tooth necklace to keep his tooth in so it made it home safe!  I thought it was so funny that he waited until we got home to surprise me.  He told me that he just pulled it out at school.

He was obviously so excited about the tooth fairy coming!!  I knew I needed to get cash because all I had was $1.  We were going to do a little more for the first tooth and then $1 after that.  That night after dinner Eli spiked a fever of 105.2 and I had to take him to the ER.  To make a long story short I was unable to stop and get cash.  So $1 it was from the tooth fairy.  It was kind of a crazy night but Andrew was super excited the next morning when he saw the $1 that the tooth fairy left.  I am so glad it all worked out and he was excited.  Now the tooth next to it is starting to get loose.  Love watching Andrew hit these milestones but hate that he is growing up so fast!!  

Andrew is 6

Happy 6th Birthday to my sweet little boy, Andrew!!!  I truly can't believe we are here again!  I hate that you are growing up so fast but I love watching you grow into the person that God made you to be!  This has been such a big year for you.  You started Kindergarten!  This was such a fun time for you and such a hard time for me!  You are doing amazing at school and it makes me so proud.  You are such an outgoing kid.  You are such a great big brother to Lucas and Eli too!  They look up to you so much already.  You love to play Legos!!  You would probably build all day.  Some of your creations are so impressive!  You also like reading, coloring, football, ninja turtles, basketball, playing games, and spending time with friends.

We had your annual check up at the Dr and you are doing great!!!  You were 43.4 lbs (34th%) and 45 inches (40th%) tall.  I think you are about to hit a growth spurt because you have really picked up on eating suddenly!  You are a pretty good eater but still a little picky.  You will usually try things if we ask you but if you don't like it you get a little dramatic.  You are still my emotional kid!  You are such a loving kid! You are very good at thinking about others and helping people out.  You can also easily get your feelings hurt just like your Mama!! You will make such an amazing husband one day!! Your sense of humor is great too!  You are always trying to make a joke or trying to be cool but in a funny kind of way.  You are one special kid!!

We are going to move you into your own room here in the next couple weeks.  I know you like sharing with Lucas but you are super excited to have your own space.  I am looking forward to seeing how you want to decorate it.  Lucas will be sad to lose his buddy but you will just be right across the hall.  Right now every morning you guys come out of your room at the same time and hold hands all the way to Mommy and Daddy's room.  Your bond is seriously amazing!!! Lucas is always looking forward to when you get home from school!!

This year you wanted to have your birthday party at Sky Zone. The kids all had such a blast jumping around and playing dodge ball.  We decided on a Star Wars cake because you have a new love for Star Wars with the new movie coming out.  Mommy and Daddy are not into Star Wars so you have learned about all this at school.  We need to go see the movie!! It was so fun watching you have such a great time with all your friends!!  I am so thankful for the great group of kids that came out to celebrate with us.

On Andrew's actual birthday we went out to dinner.  He picked one of his favorite restaurants, Olive Garden!  My mom and Justin came to town that night.  Andrew loves it when Justin comes to play.  He definitely had a great day!!  Our elf, Buddy, even brought Andrew a small gift for his birthday!
