Busy Boy

Andrew has been a very busy boy these past few weeks. Sometimes it seems like he learns how to do things overnight. One thing he is very proud to announce is that he only uses sippy cups. We struggled on this one for a couple months. We tried many different styles and brands. He finally found one that he liked! No more bottles! YAY!! We also made the switch to whole milk after his 12 month appointment. We did that cold turkey and he did great. I am sure some of you may know how great it is not buying formula anymore!

We are still trying all kinds of new foods. Andrew has become a little picky now that he is a toddler. His favorites are chicken nuggets, waffles, pancakes, applesauce, and yogurt. He seriously dislikes any vegetables. I still try to sneak in veggies, but don't tell him. He does pretty well with a fork, but we are still working on getting the food on the fork.

He also took his first two steps by himself!! We were so excited. The only problem was that he never did it again. We still went out and bought him a new pair of shoes from Stride Rite. Thanks Grandma and G-Pa Creason!! Hopefully the walking thing will come soon.

He is starting to say a few words now too. He can say truck, star, dog, Grace, light, book, milk, Mama, and Dada. He doesn't say these words perfectly and it might be that Mark and I have started to understand "his" language a little better. He can also bark like a dog (arf) and make a truck sound.

Here are a couple more pictures of him since Christmas.

I will keep you updated on the walking...

Christmas Fun

Can't believe Christmas has already come and gone! December went by so fast. We had a first birthday, some fun visitors, a couple road trips, and Christmas!! Christmas was a lot different for us this year because it was just the three of us. Usually my family is in town or we hit the road to visit Mark's family. We were able to visit my family a couple days before Christmas to celebrate with them!

After celebrating with my family we went to Beckham's birthday party in Dayton. He was turning two. Beckham's parents are good friends of ours. These pictures were taken after the party. Andrew already had his PJs on and Beckham was in the beginning stages of putting his PJs on. They were playing with one of Beckham's new toys.

One of my best friends, Jessie, came to visit for a couple days. We had a lot of fun. It is so great spending time with her because she lives in California now. We were able to go out to dinner baby free-thanks Mark. It was great having a girls night out.

On Christmas morning we had a couple small gifts to give Andrew. Andrew got his very own stocking for Christmas from his Grandma Points, so Mark and I had to put a couple small gifts in there too. We spent the day eating, playing games, and baking cookies. The day seemed to go by so fast.

I feel so blessed to be able to spend Christmas with Mark and Andrew! We really missed the family and friends that we didn't see over the holidays. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I had to include this last picture of my sister holding Andrew last Christmas!

Happy New Year!!

Happy 1st Birthday!!

Andrew celebrated his birthday on Saturday. I have been kind of dreading the fact that he is actually turning one. I am sure I say this all of the time, but I can't believe how fast the time has gone.

Here is the cake.

The one on the left is the little cake for Andrew.

He had so much fun playing with family and friends!

We found out that Andrew loves balloons after a Halloween party at our neighbors. I think he was pretty excited to see that balloons were above his highchair again.

Time to sing Happy Birthday!

Here we go...
Daddy gave him a taste...

He didn't really like eating it, just playing in it.

Opening presents!

Dinner with Mark's family after the festivities!

I guess my baby is a toddler now!! This is my favorite picture of the day we brought him home from the hospital. I have learned so much in this last year and I feel like I am still learning new things everyday. He is such a blessing and I love everyday I spend with him. I just wish time would slow down a little!!

We are very thankful that we got to spend time with family and friends for Andrew's birthday. I think he enjoyed himself because we had to wake him up from his afternoon nap at 6pm!! We want to thank everyone who made the trip out here to make Andrew's first birthday special.

Love,
Tracey, Mark and Andrew

Andrew's First Haircut

We finally decided it was time to get Andrew's hair cut. It was getting a little too shaggy. Andrew wanted to look good for all of his friends and family at his birthday party. I decided to take him to my salon that is right down the street. We had just woke him up from his afternoon nap, so he was a little tired. Here are the before shots of the Justin Bieber hair.

He was pretty excited to sit with Daddy.

"What is that nice lady doing to my hair?"

Mark held his head to keep him from looking around. Andrew did such a good job. I think getting his hair cut after the nap was the trick.

Now he really looks like a one year old. I think he is ready for his birthday party!! So handsome!

Andrew's First Thanksgiving

Andrew's first Thanksgiving was so much fun!! I was excited to have Andrew eat his first Thanksgiving meal. We decided to stay at home because we have done so much traveling this year. My mom came in from Cincinnati to join us.

Andrew's first bite of stuffing. He was a little unsure at first.

He ate stuffing, turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, and cranberries. He seemed to like it all.

This Thanksgiving stuff is making me tired!

Andrew and I last year at Thanksgiving!!

Andrew and I this Thanksgiving!
A lot can change in a year. So much to be thankful for this year. God has blessed us in so many ways.

Andrew had to wear his new Christmas PJs that Grandma gave him. Thanks Grandma!!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We are very thankful for all of our family and friends!

Love,
Tracey, Mark, and Andrew
