Picking Apples

Going to the apple orchard can only mean one thing...fall is almost here!! I know I have already said this, but I LOVE FALL. I love the weather, holidays, food, football, even the smell of fall. I know I am a big nerd!! Anyway, we decided to go pick some apples last week with some friends of ours-The Johnston Family. Their little boy, Case, is in Andrew's play group. Too bad the temperature was in the 90s while we were there, so much for it feeling like the beginning of fall.  At least it is starting to feel a little more like fall this week.  We might have to make another trip out there when it is time to pick out some pumpkins.

Andrew had to have an apple in each hand at all times.

LOL!!

Hearing Andrew laugh makes me so happy. Especially when it is one of those really good laughs. Here is a video of Andrew laughing at a cartoon. It is so fun to watch his sense of humor develop.

Letters...A O A O

Andrew's new favorite toy is the Leap Frog Fridge Phonics. It comes with magnetic letters and a letter reader that sings a song about whatever letter you put in it. He has really grown attached to the letters A and O. He will line the letters up and say A O A O, but they are not always A and O. He just amazes me with how much he is capable of learning everyday. Here is a little video of him playing with his Leap Frog toy.

Daddy...What were you thinking??

Can you tell Daddy dressed me??

Family

Last Sunday we took a trip out to Cincinnati for the day. My friend Andrea just had her second baby boy, Tyler. We got to visit with her and her family. Andrew always has fun playing with Dylan. Unfortunately, I left my camera in the car so I didn't get any pictures of Tyler. He is so adorable!!

We were also able to go to church with my mom. This is the church I grew up going to and where we got married. It was so good seeing everyone! Everyone makes you feel right back at home. After church we met up with my sister and Justin for lunch. It was nice to have everyone together. Here are a few pictures after lunch.

Although it was a short visit, it really made me miss home. I miss being close to family and miss being close to my best friends!! At least they are only two hours away. Now I just need to get Jessie to move a little closer ;)

Hot Days of Summer

The hot days of summer are almost over. We went on a pretty long stretch of HOT weather and now the weather is beautiful. I know it is a little early, but I love the transition into fall!! Actually I love fall. The past few days have been so nice or maybe they just seem so nice because it is not 100.

Andrew and I went to the zoo twice last week and we also went to our new neighborhood pool for the first time. Andrew loved the baby pool. It was perfect for him. I will have to take some pictures the next time we go. We will be using that as much as possible while the weather is still warm.

Here a couple fun summer pictures.

I had to post a couple pictures of the baby elephant. He was pretty cute.

Daddy's Boy

As some of you may know, Andrew is a Daddy's boy. At first I didn't know how to take this, but then I figured it out. I have found that Daddy is preferred in certain situations and Mommy in others. It is so cute to see the excitement on Andrew's face when he hears the garage door open. Andrew just loves to tag along with Daddy everywhere he goes.

Mark has been taking classes for a while now to finish his master's degree. It seems like most of his free time is spent working on homework and studying. I cannot wait until it is over!! He should be done in May 2012. The other day Andrew and I were in the office and he decided to look into what Daddy has been learning about.

I think we may have a little engineer in training. His book of choice seems to be Aircraft Design: A Conceptual Approach. A close second is Aerodynamics of Supersonic Flight. They both sound very interesting. (insert sarcasm) This stuff is a little over my head. Who knows what this little boy will be capable of...
